From ‘Student of the Year’ to her most recent portrayal of Vaidehi in ‘Dear Zindagi’, the journey for Alia has been phenomenal. Her natural beauty pulls off any role in the world. Moving to her latest appearances, Alia has been seen flaunting her fit and toned figure.

Keep it simple, silly!

In a social media session with celebrity nutritionist, Rujuta Diwekar, Alia went on to speak about how she followed certain diets to keep herself thin and hence, gave up on foods which are healthy in the first place.

The basic!

Alia follows a basic diet where she includes a six to seven meal plan. Her diet includes poha, eggs, and a sandwich for breakfast. This is followed by healthy snacks such as peanuts or makhanas or fruits in between meals.

For lunch, she has homemade food which contains dal, roti, chawal, and salad. For dinner, her favourite is curd rice. Post-workout she likes having saffron nimbu paani and coconut water.

The Fitness regime!

Idea fitness has been an interest to Alia, who is a keen follower of Pilates and is often seen on celebrity trainer Yasmin Karachiwala’s social media accounts. Her schedule typically includes stretching and strengthening exercises in combination with cardiovascular exercises.

In many of her interviews, Alia has re-emphasized the importance of exercise to match up with your diet.

“Fit is the new sexy”

As per Alia, and we couldn’t agree more. To achieve a healthy and fit body, the ideal combination of diet and exercise is important. The actresses’ transformation from fat to fit is certainly an inspiration for many.

How did Alia Bhatt actually lose her weight?

During her weight loss regime, Alia ate plenty of fruit and veggies cooked with minimal oil. She drank lots of water and stayed away from all her favourites such as rabdi, kheer, pasta and dosas. She also ate dinner two hours before bedtime.

Apart from the diet plan and busy schedule, she had her appetite in place with a regular sleeping pattern.

What motivated Alia Bhatt to lose weight?

Alia was a girl with big dreams and goals. She knew she had to lose weight if she wanted to kick-start her career as a leading lady in Karan Johar’s movie. She weighed about 68 kg, and according to her height and age, she was 20 kg overweight.
