A lot of people are following the vegan fad. But many don’t know what the diet means. If you want to go vegan diet, remember the following:
Don’t cut down on whole foods:
Many dieters eat vegan foods like vegan bread, vegan cheese etc. over whole foods like greens, vegetables, fruits, nuts, etc. Don’t substitute your vegan products for your whole foods.
Increase the intake of veggies:
A vegan diet means choosing plant food over animal food, so you have to eat more vegetables. Aim for at least three cups a day. For example, you can consume green smoothies along with roasted veggies.
Don’t forget the carbs:
A healthy body needs carbs to survive as it provides energy as well as improves digestion. The best sources are from veggies and fruits.
Never ignore hunger pangs:
If you feel hungry a few hours after eating a whole meal, don’t ignore it. You can fulfill your hunger by eating something healthy instead of starving. Have a fruit and drink a glass of water.
